What is the Code of Conduct?
The Code outlines how we embody our core principles daily. Whether you are employed by or collaborate with SingWorld, these are the expectations and behaviors we require. It represents a common standard we can all take pride in and is a key component of our rules and procedures (Directives Framework). You should refer to these resources to understand how the Code applies to you.
Important to Know
What is Expected of Us?
Each of us needs to grasp the Code, its directives, and the expected behaviors. While some aspects of the Code may align more directly with your specific role, it is crucial to seek clarification on any points you find unclear. If a clear resolution is not immediately available, use sound judgment and consult with your manager if necessary. For managers, you serve as a role model—guide your team in understanding and applying our principles and ensure they are held accountable for their conduct.
Who is the Code of Conduct For?
The Code must be followed by everyone working for SingWorld, including employees and contractors. Additionally, we have a Business Partner Code of Conduct, which mirrors these principles and addresses the responsibilities of our partners, such as suppliers, distributors, and agents.
What If the Code of Conduct is Breached?
Not adhering to the Code can result in disciplinary measures, up to and including termination. If you observe any violations, report them promptly to the individual involved, your manager, or through SpeakUp! Additional guidance is available at the end of the Code.
Take Time to Think
In situations where the correct course of action is not immediately clear, pause and consider:
- Do I understand the risks and implications?
- Is this legal?
- Does it adhere to our Code?
- Is it fair and honest?
- Will it reflect positively on me and the company?
- Would I be comfortable if this were publicized?
If you answer “no” to any of these questions, it is best not to proceed. If you are still uncertain, seek advice from your manager, Legal, HR, or our Compliance Officer
