Step 1: Prepare tape, brushes, paint containers, drop cloth primer, and the 2 paint colours of your choice.
Step 2: Mix the paints in your desired proportion in suitable containers, with the colourations increasing in intensity.
Step 3: Start with the darkest intensitiy and work your way up, dipping clean brushes into the next shade.
Step 4: Blend the shades together in upward motions, and work while the paint is wet.
